4R 2018 - 2019

Miss Richards

Hi. I am Miss Richards. I am currently a Year 4 teacher of Class 4R. I have been teaching for 27 years. To date, that's approximately 850 children that I have taught. Yes, I know, that's a lot of children!!!

This year I will be working alongside an amazing team: Mrs Mallinson, Mrs Lund, who supports children in a range of curriculum activities, Mrs Gunn, Miss Guerrieria, Mrs Deering and Mrs Kemp!

As a child,  I thoroughly enjoyed my school years and knew from being at primary school that I wanted to be a teacher when I was older so it was no surprise that was the avenue I pursued in my further education to achieve my goal.

I love all creative aspects of the curriculum. It's great seeing when children I have taught progress from starting in the Autumn term, to leaving at the end of the Summer Term and I just love it when children write little messages in their exercise books, responding to their learning, saying: " I really enjoyed this lesson, it was fun!"

The job is never boring and I still get a buzz from ex pupils returning to visit and finding out what route their lives have taken.

Bee Rules

As part of our revised behaviour policy, we have introduced 5 new Bee Rules:

1. Be kind  2. Be a good listener  3. Be hardworking  4. Be respectful   5. Be responsible.

If children follow the Bee Rules, they will be rewarded with a Busy Bee session on a

Friday afternoon.
