2W visit to Chester Zoo 2020
Lesson: Geography
Class: 2W Year: 2019 - 2020
We were incredibly lucky with the weather this year and had a fabulous day out at the zoo. The children were on their best behaviour and so were the animals which were all out enjoying the sunny day. Before we went on the visit we set the children a challenge to design a new animal enclosure for a zoo we had read about. This meant that they had to look closely at what the features of the different enclosures were like. There was also quite a bit of redesigning going on at Chester Zoo, which meant they could look into real paddocks that were being developed. Thanks so much to all of the staff and adult helpers - we all walked an average of 8km during the day so the children were enhausted by the end (as were many of us)!
