Hello and welcome to Reception! The Early Years is where the love of learning is fostered, imaginations are developed and the foundations of learning are laid. In a supportive yet challenging environment our children are able to explore and discover the world around them and prepare themselves for learning throughout their education and in life.
Reception is an exciting place to be, where we learn both indoors and outdoors and no two days are the same. The children learn through experiences and these differ and change continually ensuring experiences are rich and enjoyable. The children are at the heart of everything we do and learning is tailored to their needs and next steps in learning. We use the children's interests and motivations, enabling us to make learning meaningful and fun!
Reception consists of a fantastic team of experienced EYFS staff working together with Mrs Revill (our EYFS Lead). In RGM there is myself - Mrs Gale (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) Mrs MacFarlane teaches on Wednesday. Mrs Haastrup is our full time teaching assistant and Mrs Adams, who is our Higher Level Teaching Assistant also supports in both Reception classes.
