RR Paintings in the style of artist Alma Thomas for Black (and minority ethnic) History

Lesson: History

For our black (and minority ethnic) history month, we found out all about the artist Alma Thomas. We learned that Alama was not allowed to go to school because of the colour of her skin and that her mother had to set up a school in her living room. When she grew up, Alma became a teacher herself and taught art to all students.

Alma had a very unique style painting with dots and dashes. We painted our own pictures in her style. At Christmas, we decorated baubles in the style of Alma too and hung them on our tree. We think they look amazing!
