Ofsted
Ofsted have changed how they report on schools. They no longer offer one word overall judgements. Instead they produce a report card after inspection which considers Safeguarding plus 7 individual aspects of school, grading each with one of 5 possible grades. Of the reports so far published under this new system, very, very few schools are achieving the higher grades of 'Exceptional' or 'Strong Standard' in many areas at all. The 'Expected' standard is a much higher bar than the old 'Good', somewhat confusingly. Most schools inspected under the new system have at least one area graded as 'Needs Attention'.
Etchells was inspected in January 2026. Please click on this link to read our full report card.
