Nursery 2023 - 2024
Miss Laurie
Miss Whalley
Hi. I'm Miss Laurie; I have been at Etchells since 2015 and absolutely love everything about the school. I started my life at Etchells in year 1 and then moved to Nursery in 2017 and have been here ever since working alongside Miss Whalley and Mrs Deering - Team work makes the dream work. However, this was not my first time here. Whilst at university, I did 2 years of my placements at Etchells in the Nursery and Reception and it was always my aim to get back to the nursery. As corny as it may seem, I knew I always wanted to come back to it and now I have I don't want to leave.
I lead a very active and busy life having 4 children (11 year old twins who have just started high school, a very active 9 year old and a happy and a little spoilt 7 year old.) We love visiting theme parks both in England and around the world, which helps as im a huge Disney fan. I absolutely love being the Nursey teacher, seeing the world through little eyes, having fun whilst learning (which we do all the time) and making the best memories. It really is the best job in the world.
Hi, I’m Miss Whalley and I have been at Etchells for 5 years now in nursery and have been teaching for 20 years in a variety of early years settings. At home I have a little girl, Orla who is 6.
I work on a Monday and Tuesday with the lovely Mrs Deering and then Miss Laurie will continue the fun on a Wednesday for the rest of the week.
I’m looking forward to meeting all the nursery children and parents and beginning a fun, happy and exciting learning journey together.
