Phonics
Children at Key Stage 1 have a daily phonics lesson. At the start of June all year 1 pupils are tested to check they have achieved the standard expected for phonics . The attcahed files provide a list of graphemes covered that your child is expected to know and use confidently. Please ask if you are unsure of any of the correct phonemes (sounds). the phonics play website is a fabulous resources for phonics games to support your child. BBc schools and ICT games also provide a wealth of phonics games. thank you for your support.
