2W geography fieldwork

Class: 2W Year: 2023 - 2024

During our geography this term we looked at the local area in and around school. The children explored the areas of school we often don't visit and then looked at things they liked and didn't like about the school grounds. We then looked at the shops near school and decided to find out how much traffic uses the main road and what has been done to help children and adults to cross this road and use the shops safely. We carried out a traffic survey and then explored the different things that have been added outside the shops to make it a safe place to be. These included fences, crossings and road markings.
