Maths
There are many different websites that encourage children to practise their maths skills in fun and exciting ways.
Please use these links to have a look at some of these sites, as they will encourage your child to develop their maths skills at home.
All children have access to the Numbots and TTRockstars website/ apps. This is something we have subscribed to. Please visit these sites and encourage your child to access them. Numbots helps develop recall of addition and subtraction facts: https://play.numbots.com/#/intro. Rockstars ges on to develop times tables: https://ttrockstars.com/. Knowing these number facts fluently will give youor child an advantage when trying to calculate.

Another useful site for activities is the BBC website below.

In the files section there is a times tables poster. Did you know, once you have learnt your 2, 5 and 10x tables in Year 2, there are only 21 more facts to learn to know them all? This is because they are commutative. Once you know 2 x 8 = 16, you also know 8 x 2 = 16. In total there are 66 facts to learn. See how many you know using the Times Tables Pyramid.
