Maths
We begin the year with a unit on place value. In Year 3 we will be working with 3-digit numbers; counting forwards and backwards, ordering and comparing numbers and recognising their value. Any opportunities for counting will consolidate learning. Throughout the year we cover shape and space, fraction, the four rules of number and data handling.
Please also support your child in learning their times tables. They are invaluable throughout Maths in Key Stage 2. We will start the year revising the times tables from Year 2 before moving onto those we need to know by the end of Year 3. The websites below are helpful and popular with the children.
